AIM The aim of this allied publication is to establish safety guidance on application of Hazard Mitigation Devices (HMD) employed to address fast/slow heating threats (Cook-Off) to munitions@ as defined in STANAG 4439@ and to define safety design requirements for active and passive hazard mitigation devices if used in a munition or its associated logistic packaging.
