This specification details the material and performance requirements for DOT3 brake fluids for use in the braking and clutching system of motor vehicle such as pickup trucks@ light-duty trucks@ medium-duty trucks@ heavy-duty trucks and buses. Approval brake fluids used to factory fill and field service shall be conformed to all requirements published in the issue of this specification.
