INTRODUCTION This Data Item describes the use of ESDUpac A9137 which is a computer program for determining the minimum lubricant film thickness in concentrated line contacts that occur@ for example@ in rolling element bearings and gears. The program implements the calculation method of ESDU 85027 which must be referred to for the theoretical limitations of the method and for discussion of practical considerations.
