ESDU 77028 gives surface area and volume (non-dimensionalised with the appropriate characteristic of the enclosing cylinder)@ nose (or tail) radius of curvature and half angle for a number of typical axisymmetric shapes including the von Karman ogive@ the Lighthill profile@ tangent ogive@ power law and ellipsoid. Also given are surface areas and volumes for certain truncated bodies. Methods of adapting the data for use with bodies whose cross-sectional shape is non-circular are suggested@ including rectangular@ elliptical@ and rhombic cross-section shapes.
