PURPOSE: To establish the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard and tentative standard test methods@ recommended practices@ and specifications acceptable for use in determining conformance to requirements of Aerospace Specification (AMS)@ Aerospace Material Documents (AMD)@ and other specifications in which specification is referenced. APPLICATION: The ASTM test methods@ recommended practices@ and specification listed herein are referenced by classification letter and basic number in various AMS@ AMD@ and other specifications. Shown herein are these basic designations with the year and status of issue applicable to AMS and AMD usage; the issue listed herein shall be used for determining conformance to all AMS and AMD in which the basic designation is referenced.
