The scope of the present document is to investigate the increased capacity of MIMO-PLT for Gigabit Home Networking based on forthcoming UHD/4K SVOD and streaming services distribution from Residential Home Gateway (VDSL2/G.Fast) to Set-Top-Box Network-Top-Box@ Media Servers for Tablets Smart Phones. The present phase 1 of the work is focusing on validation of the performances of MIMO versus SISO PLT channels in laboratory tests and in real houses using video sequences. These video sequences consist of reference sequences of HD and UHD/UHD (used by experts from ITU@ EBU and MPEG experts) and from real world sequences encoded by H.265/AVC and H.265/HEVC codecs are used for comparison of performances SISO-PLT versus MIMO-PLT.
