FOREWORD The American Petroleum Institute is organized into five main divisions and several executive and administrative departments. Each division functions as a departmental activity under the general management and supervision of the Institute's executive od'icer@ acting for the Board of Directors. The activities of each division are directed by a General Committee which@ in the Division of Production@ is composed of 65 members (60 elected annually by the membership of the division; 5 appointed from the Board of Directors by the Institute President.) Each of the principal activities of the Division of Production is administered by a standing committee@ as shown on the organization chart following. This bulletin concerns procedures of district and chapter organizations@ supervised by the Committee on District Activities in conformance with general principles and policies prescribed by the Institute's Board of Directors and the Division's General Committee.
