(100.00 mm) and under in nominal diameter or least distance between parallel sides and of stock for forging@ flash welded rings@ or heading. Application: Primarily for parts to be rough machined prior to solution and precipitation heat treatment. Suitable for parts@ such as pressure vessels and other aerospace structures@ requiring high strength-to-weight ratios at or near room temperature. Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause these products to become subject to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP 982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
