The present document addresses location based applications and associated standards. The purpose of the present document is to identify the potential areas for further standardisation related to GNSS based applications that require navigation@ communication or a combination of both technologies. In order to achieve these objectives@ the present document first introduces types of applications which rely on location information in order to provide services. Then@ the existing standards across various relevant standardization bodies are inventoried. Finally@ the potential areas for further standardisation are listed.
