It includes typical methods of local and remote control@ details of the control interfaces for plant equipment@ requirements for centralized and off-site control@ and trends in control systems. Where specific values are given to control parameters@ they should be considered as typical.This document does not include civil and structural details of hydroelectric power plants unless required for the understanding of certain control and monitoring functions. Also excluded is a detailed discussion of protective relaying@ high-voltage switchyards@ and navigational and flood control facilities.This document is directed toward practicing engineers in the field of power plant design that have a basic knowledge of hydroelectric facilities.?
