The SAE Automotive Textiles and Trim Standards Manual has been prepared as a convenient reference for automotive interior materials engineers and for automotive supplier engineers. The test methods included in this manual are directed at automotive trim applications but some of the test methods may also apply to other commodities and/or applications. Classification of these test methods by subject and a list of sources of international standards further enhance the usefulness of this manual to technical personnel associated with the textile and automotive trim industries.
