- The document specifies general requirements and testing methods for steps manufactured from iron, steel or aluminium, for use in manholes and other man entry chambers as a means of access. The project specifies the performance criteria for the mechanical stability and resistance providing protection against falling. The project includes the corresponding test methods and the evaluation of conformity of the product to this Standard.
