- This standard specifies the internal combustion engines used in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with a dead weight of 3.5 t or less (including 3.5 t) containing l. 2. Requirements for pure rubber hoses (non-reinforced rubber hoses) and rubber hoses used in pressurized and non-pressurized cooling systems for ethylene glycol-based coolants (antifreeze). This standard applies to preformed or directly extruded pure rubber hoses and rubber hoses. This standard does not apply to rubber hoses made of short fiber reinforced rubber compounds.
