Scope: This standard specifies the pressure and non-pressure cooling system used in the internal combustion engines of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with a dead weight of 3.5 tons or less (including 3.5 tons) containing 1.2-ethylene glycol-based coolant (antifreeze) Requirements for pure rubber hoses (non-reinforced rubber hoses) and rubber hoses. This standard applies to preformed or directly extruded pure rubber hoses and rubber hoses. This standard does not apply to rubber hoses made of short fiber reinforced rubber compounds.
