Scope
This standard specifies the static test method for determining and evaluating the driver's visibility on the bounding rectangle around the machine and on the 12 m visibility test circle (VTC). This standard applies to earth-moving machinery defined by ISO 6165 that operates on construction sites and roads and has a seated driver's position. According to the type of machine family in Table 1, this standard specifies the performance criteria for the visibility of various machines to achieve the maximum working quality of ISO 6165. For machines not listed, including large machines, derived earth-moving machinery and other types of earth-moving machinery, the visibility test procedure can be implemented by reference and used in conjunction with the risk assessment procedure defined in 10.4.
