GB/T 4156-2020 (English Version) Metallic materials—Sheet and strip—Erichsen cupping test

Scope: This International Standard specifies a method for determining the ability of metal sheets and strips to withstand plastic deformation during draw forming by the Ericsson cupping test. This standard is applicable to the determination of thin metal plates and strips with a thickness of 0.1 mm to 2.0 mm and a width of not less than 90 mm. For thin plates and thin strips that are thicker or only narrow samples can be taken, a mold with a specified size should be used, and the results should be indicated with the following, see Table 1.
