- This document specifies the methods and conditions for the preparation and performance determination of samples of polyethylene (PE) molding and extrusion materials. This document also specifies the requirements for the pretreatment of the test material and the conditioning of the sample before the test. This document applies to the selection of material properties and test methods for characterizing polyethylene molding and extrusion materials. These properties are selected from GB/T19467.1 general test methods. This document also lists other test methods widely used or of special significance for molding and extrusion materials, as well as the determination methods of the named properties in Part 1. In order to ensure that the test results are reproducible and repeatable, the methods of sample preparation and state conditioning specified in this document, as well as the specified sample dimensions and test methods can be used. Test data obtained using specimens prepared under different conditions or using specimens of different dimensions may not be consistent.
