GB/T 20674.4-2020 Plastics pipes and fittings—Equipment for fusion jointing polyethylene systems—Part 4: Traceability coding

Scope: This part of GB/T20674 specifies the terms and definitions, coding system design, information coding and data carrier for traceable coding of polyethylene (PE) piping system welding equipment. This part, together with other parts of GB/T 20674, applies to the traceability of fusion splicing equipment for gas/water supply polyethylene piping systems. The encoded code is read by letter or number identification, such as: bar code, etc. This section also applies to pipes, fittings and valves of polyethylene gas/water supply piping systems, as well as welding of their assemblies. For example: fusion butt joints using fusion tools, fusion socket or fusion saddle connections, electrofusion (socket and saddle), induction fusion and mechanical connections, etc.
