This part of GB/T38696 specifies the classification, technical requirements, markings and instructions for use of strong light source (non-laser) protective glasses. This part is applicable to eye protectors that protect against the hazards of strong light sources with radiation wavelengths between 250nm and 3000nm. This section does not apply to welding goggles, laser goggles, sunglasses, ophthalmic instruments, solar or other components assembled on medical and cosmetic equipment. Note: Strong light source protective glasses are widely used in industrial processing, food processing, greenhouse planting, medical cosmetology, water treatment, light curing and other fields where strong light sources are harmful.
