This part of GB/T 33588 specifies the requirements and test methods for the metal connectors that constitute the lightning protection system (LPS). Typical of these metal connectors include splices, clips, equipotential bonding bars and jumpers, telescoping connectors and breakout cards. The connection methods of the connectors in this part include exothermic welding, brazing, welding, clamping, (cold) crimping, seaming, screw or bolt connection. This standard does not include tests for connections for explosive atmospheres.
