- This standard establishes the classification of assistive devices for persons with disabilities and can be used to interface with information systems. Previously, it was limited to assistive devices that were primarily used alone. Parts, accessories and adapters are also classified separately in special cases. Aids for public transport and building access are not considered for the time being, but will be covered later. The following terms are not included in this standard: -- terms used for the installation of assistive devices; -- conclusions drawn after combining with other classified assistive devices; -- drugs; - training in the manipulation of assistive devices; - financial support.
