Scope

This standard applies to the external insulation of overhead lines and outdoor equipment in power plants and substations in three-phase AC power systems with a rated voltage of 3kV to 500kV. In addition, insulation includes porcelain and glass insulation, but does not include organic insulation, semiconductor glaze insulation, lightning arresters and open circuit breaker fracture insulation. This standard is only applicable to areas where the equipment installation altitude is 1000m or below. This standard stipulates the corresponding pollution level for the external insulation of high-voltage overhead lines and power plants and substation equipment in natural polluted environments, and the corresponding insulation levels under various levels of polluted conditions.
