Scope: This standard specifies the safety requirements and industrial hygiene requirements for mining, transportation, soil dumping, drainage and fire protection, electrical and other aspects of open-pit mining, hydraulic and dredger mining in metal and non-metallic open-pit mines. This standard applies to the design, construction and production of metal and non-metal open-pit mines within the territory of the People's Republic of China. This standard does not apply to surface mines of facing building materials.
