Scope: This standard applies to the performance specifications of the following types of electrical and electronic equipment and instruments and their accessories: a) Measuring electrical quantities (indicating and recording instruments). b) Provide what is being measured (supplies the instrumentation), eg a signal generator and some power supply. c) Measuring non-electrical quantities by electrical methods, excluding any electrical analog device components that provide a non-electrical quantity like sensors; provided that the equipment does not have a corresponding IEC product standard or its electrical and electronic components conflict with this standard . The representation of this performance includes only electrical or electronic parts.
