Scope: This standard specifies the terms used, general requirements for test procedures and test objects, test voltage and current generation, test methods, test results processing methods and test eligibility criteria. This standard applies to the following tests for equipment with the highest voltage U_M above 1kV: a) DC voltage insulation test; b) AC voltage insulation test; c) Lightning impulse voltage insulation test; d) Operating impulse voltage insulation test; e) combined and composite voltage insulation tests; f) impulse current tests.
