Scope

Except as provided below, this Chapter of Part One applies. Replace the first paragraph with: This standard applies to portable miter cutters (see 2.101 for definitions) for sawing non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, wood and similar materials with saw blades not exceeding 400 mm in diameter. Tools that combine the functions of a circular saw and a miter cutter are not covered by this standard.
