This standard specifies the classification and naming, technical requirements, inspection rules and test methods, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of rod-shaped porcelain insulators (hereinafter referred to as insulators) for AC traction lines. This standard applies to AC power frequency single-phase 25kV traction line insulators in polluted areas. The ambient temperature of the insulator installation site should be between -40C-40C, and the altitude should not exceed 1 000m. (When it exceeds 1 000m, judge its applicability according to GB 311.1.) This standard is not applicable to insulators used in environments with severe corrosion to insulators and metal accessories.
