Scope

This standard applies to rod-shaped porcelain insulators (hereinafter referred to as insulators) for AC electrified railway catenary with a nominal voltage of 25kV and a single-phase power frequency. This standard is applicable to insulators for catenary arm support in light pollution areas, heavy pollution areas and high altitude areas. This standard specifies the electrical, mechanical and dimensional characteristics of insulators (see Table 1). This standard also stipulates the type and marking method of insulators.
