This standard specifies the test methods for assessing quality fluctuations of various types of iron ores, and is applicable to iron ore trade and various sampling and preparation devices. This standard specifies two different methods. The first method is to take sub-samples according to the stratified sampling method or systematic sampling method described in GB/T 10322.1, and then alternately merge and analyze several pairs of sub-samples. The second method is to take and analyze individual incremental samples and then analyze the data using the method of variance. Less work is done with alternating duplicate samples, and the variable method can better estimate quality fluctuations and thus better estimate sampling bias. The variable method is more suitable for precise sampling operations. Note: This test method is generally also suitable for timed sampling if the flow rate is substantially uniform.
