GB/T 18139.1-2000 Information technology-General structure for the interchange of code values-Part 1:Identification of coding schemes (English Version)
This standard specifies the general structure for the use of the International Coding Scheme Identifier (ICSI) as a coding scheme identifier for information exchange. The code values produced by applying this coding scheme together with the corresponding ICSI values give a definite meaning. This standard does not specify the mechanism by which ICSI values and code values are associated, so it is independent of the syntax used by the exchange and has broad applicability among data element users. Specifications for the coding scheme itself and the technical implementation of the coding scheme in exchange, such as internal procedures, file organization technology, storage media, coding rules, language, etc., are not specified in this standard.
