Scope

This standard specifies the quality inspection requirements for gear materials and heat treatment, and gives the contact and bending fatigue limit values corresponding to the material quality grades (ML, MQ, ME and MX) (Figures 1-14). This standard is applicable to the quality inspection of gear materials and heat treatment made of steel and cast iron.
