Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for water recreation facilities. This standard applies to various types of water amusement facilities such as water slides (hereinafter referred to as slides), amusement pools, and cruise ships. This standard does not apply to ships with more than 6 passengers and those operated by special personnel for sightseeing and transportation. This standard does not apply to sports equipment such as rowing boats and windsurfing boards. This standard does not apply to competition swimming pools.
