Scope: This standard specifies the coded representation of image information for digital storage media and digital video communications, and specifies the decoding process. This representation supports constant bit rate transmission, variable bit rate transmission, random access, channel switching, scalable decoding, bitstream editing, and special features such as fast forward, fast reverse, slow motion, and paused still images Function.
