- This standard specifies the principle, symbols, samples, test equipment, test procedures, test result evaluation and test report of metal material upsetting test methods. This standard applies to metal materials with the following cross-sectional dimensions (diameter, side length or inscribed circle radius): 3~30mm for cold upsetting test; 5~200mm for hot upsetting test. For metal materials beyond the applicable scope of this standard, the relevant product standards or agreements shall be followed.
