GB/T 12162.1-2000 X and gamma reference radiation for calibrating dose-meters and doserate meters and for determining their response as a function of photon energy Part 1:Radiation characteristics and production methods (English Version)
This standard specifies X for calibrating protection level dosimeters and dose rate meters (air kerma rate from 10μGy·h~10Gy·h) and determining their energy response characteristics and gamma reference radiation properties and methods of generation. The reference radiations are divided into four groups, each group corresponding to a specific photon energy range, their generation method is described in Chapter 4 and the characteristics of these radiations are specified therein. The four groups of reference radiation are: a) Continuum filtered X-radiation in the energy range of about 7keV-250keV and Am<241> gamma radiation in the upper left corner. B) Fluorescent X-radiation in the energy range of 8keV~100keV. C) Radionuclide gamma radiation in the energy range of 600keV~1.3MeV. D) Gamma radiation produced by reactors and accelerators in the energy range of 4MeV to 9MeV.
