Scope
This part of GB/T 12162 specifies the method for calibrating site dose (rate) meters and personal dosimeters using reference radiation with an average energy between 8keV~1.3MeV and 4MeV~9MeV. This section specifies the calibration procedures for different types of dose (rate) meters. For site dosimeters, it includes portable and fixed-installation dose (rate) meters; for personal dosimeters, it includes whole-body and extremity dosimeters. At the same time, the recommended phantom and conversion coefficient, uncertainty report, calibration record and guidance for certificate issuance are given. This International Standard also specifies methods for determining the energy and angular responses of dosimeters. This section does not apply to the in-situ calibration of dosimeters in fixed installations.
