- Scope
- This standard establishes a system for the qualification and certification by certification bodies of persons performing industrial non-destructive testing (NDT) using: a) eddy current testing; b) penetrant testing; c) magnetic particle testing; d) radiographic testing; e) Ultrasonic testing. The system described in this standard can also be applied to visual testing (VT), leak testing (LT), neutron radiography testing (NT), acoustic emission testing (AT) and other NDT methods that already have independent certification procedures. Certification bodies have the right to specify specific requirements as long as they are within the scope of the guidelines of this standard.
