Scope

This part of GB/T 2624 specifies the geometric dimensions of the orifice plate and the method of use (installation and working conditions) for measuring the fluid flow of the full pipe installed in the pipe. This part of GB/T 2624 also provides relevant information for calculating the flow rate and can be used together with the requirements specified in GB/T 2624.1. This part of GB/T 2624 applies to primary devices consisting of orifice plates and flange pressure ports, corner joint pressure ports or D and D/2 pressure ports. This section does not apply to other pressure-taking ports that can also be used in conjunction with orifice plates, such as contracted flow pressure-taking ports and pipeline pressure-taking ports. This part of GB/T 2624 applies only to fluids that maintain subsonic flow throughout the measurement section and can be considered as single-phase. This section does not apply to the measurement of pulsating flow. This section does not involve orifice plates used in the occasions where the nominal diameter of the pipeline is less than 50mm or greater than 1000mm, or the Reynolds number of the pipeline is less than 5000.
