This standard specifies the structural form and technical requirements of the orifice plate, nozzle and Venturi tube in the throttling device, as well as the usage method, installation and working conditions, inspection rules and inspection methods of the throttling device. At the same time, the necessary information for calculating the flow rate and its related uncertainties are also given. This standard is applicable to the throttling devices whose pressure taking methods are corner joint pressure taking, flange pressure taking, D and D/2 pressure taking and the throttling parts are orifice plate, nozzle and Venturi tube. Each throttling device can only be used within the specified limit. The following conditions apply to the throttling device specified in this standard: the fluid must be filled with a circular tube and the throttling device; the flow of the fluid through the measuring section must be subsonic, stable or only slowly changing with time; the fluid must be A single-phase fluid may alternatively be considered a single-phase fluid. This standard is not applicable to occasions where the nominal diameter of the pipeline is less than 50mm and the nominal diameter is greater than 1200mm, or the Reynolds number of the pipeline is lower than 3150.
