This standard specifies the basic requirements for radiation protection of medical exposure. This standard applies to the radiation protection of the following medical exposures: a) exposure received as part of the prescription for medical diagnosis and treatment of subjects and patients; b) exposure received by individuals as part of occupational health monitoring; c) group health check d) exposures received by healthy individuals or patients voluntarily participating in research projects in medicine or biology, diagnosis or treatment; e) exposures received by individuals arising out of forensic procedures. This standard also applies to the personal exposures of patients in intentional and voluntary assistance to medical exposures, but not to occupational exposures.
