Scope: This standard specifies the general requirements, test items (heat cycle test for headlights and front fog lamps, general heat cycle test, thermal shock test, heat deformation test) , salt spray test, dustproof test, random vibration test, waterproof test, light distribution lens strength test, resistance to lubricating oil, fuel oil and cleaning fluid resistance test, light source irradiation test), applicability, equipment, samples, test conditions , test methods and results judgment, etc. This standard applies to M, N and O categories of motor vehicles and trailers for external lighting and light signaling devices (except retro-reflectors).
