Scope: This standard specifies the metallographic structure rating chart (hereinafter referred to as the rating chart) and the rating method of steel die forgings. This standard applies to structural steel die forgings that have undergone quenching and tempering treatment, normalizing treatment, isothermal normalizing treatment, and post-forging controlled cooling treatment. This standard does not apply to the evaluation of forgings decarburization, overheating, overburning and other microstructures.
