This standard specifies the order content, size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates of hot-rolled, forged and cold-drawn spring steel. This standard applies to spring steel round steel and square steel (hereinafter referred to as bar) with a diameter or side length not greater than 100 mm, spring steel flat steel with a thickness not greater than 40 mm, spring steel wire rod with a diameter not greater than 25 mm (not greater than Including wire rod for oil quenching and tempering spring steel wire (YB/T 5365)). Upon negotiation between the supplier and the buyer, rods with a diameter or side length greater than 100 mm, flat steel with a thickness greater than 40 mm and wire rods with a diameter greater than 25 mm can also be supplied. The grades and chemical compositions specified in this standard are also applicable to steel ingots, billets and their products.
