Scope
This standard specifies the methods for the determination of carbon and sulfur content in rare earth metals and their oxides. This standard applies to the determination of carbon and sulfur content in rare earth metals and their oxides. The measurement range: carbon, 0.005% to 1.00%; sulfur, 0.005% to 0.100%. Refer to this method for the determination of the content of carbon and sulfur in metal thulium, metal ytterbium and metal lutetium.
