Scope
This part of GB/T 18905 contains requirements, recommendations and guidelines for systematically measuring, evaluating and evaluating the quality of software products when acquiring off-the-shelf software products, custom-made software products or modifying existing software products. It uses the software quality model described in ISO/IEC 9126-1, extends the general process of software quality evaluation defined in GB/T 18905.1, and uses the acquisition process defined in GB/T 8566. It can be used together with GB/T 17544, GB/T 18905.2, GB/T 18905.3 and GB/T 18905.6. This part is similar to the steps of the evaluation process in GB/T 18905.5, but the environments used by the two are completely different. GB/T 18905.5 shall be adopted for entrusting the second party or third party to conduct the evaluation. GB/T 17544 can be applied to the situation where the software package needs to be tested by a third party according to the quality requirements of the package. The evaluation process described in this section also helps to meet the goal of deciding whether to accept a single product or to choose a product from among alternative products. The evaluation process can be tailored according to the nature and integrity level of the application. This also allows full flexibility to adapt software products in various forms and uses in a cost-effective manner. This section is intended to be used by, but not limited to, project managers, system engineers, engineers and end users who plan to acquire software products, engineers and end users who develop and maintain software, and suppliers who provide such products. In this section, the target software product of the evaluation process can be integrated into a larger system as a component, or it can be used independently. These software products fall into the following categories: a) commercial off-the-shelf software products; b) existing software products developed or acquired for other Modifications. The evaluation process defined in this section also applies to CASE tools. Since the evaluation of CASE tools is specifically described in GB/T 18234, this part does not discuss CASE tools. This section is intended to be used in conjunction with other standards. For systems with higher integrity requirements, additional requirements can be included in the evaluation process described in this section. These standards are derived from department-specific standards, such as: IEC 880, DOA-167A, MOD-55, etc.
