This part of this standard specifies the method for determining the compressive stress-strain characteristics of low-density porous elastic materials below 250 kg/m3, and also explains the method for calculating the compressive stress value of such materials. Although this type of material may not have the ability to bear the load for a long time, the compressive stress-strain characteristics can be used as a measure of the load-bearing performance of the material. The compressive stress-strain characteristics are different from the concave hardness characteristics (measured according to GB/T l2825), which are affected by the thickness and tensile properties of the porous elastic material tested, the shape of the compression plate, the shape and size of the test piece. Part 2 of this standard specifies the method for measuring compressive stress and strain of high-density materials, and differs from Part 1 in the following aspects: ——Mainly related to materials with a density higher than 250 kg/m3. - The compressive stress value has been cancelled. - Cylindrical test pieces are not allowed.
