Scope

This part of this standard specifies the method for the determination of the stress-strain characteristics of high polymer porous elastic materials with a density greater than 250 kg/m3. Although such materials are not necessarily subject to prolonged loading, the compressive stress-strain properties can be used as a measure of the material's loading properties. The compressive stress-strain characteristics are different from the concave hardness characteristics (measured according to GB/T l2825). The concave hardness characteristics are affected by the thickness and tensile properties of the porous elastic material tested, and are also affected by the shape of the compression plate and the shape of the test piece. and size effects. Part 1 of this standard specifies the test methods for low-density elastic materials, which differs from Part 2 in the following aspects: - Part 1 is concerned with materials with a density less than or equal to 250 kg/m3, while Part 2 is mainly concerned with density It is related to materials higher than z250 kg/m3. - Compressive strain values were deleted in Part 2. - Part 2 does not allow the use of cylindrical test pieces. This standard is a general method for testing high-density poroelastic materials, such as cellular rubber, at one of several points in the steeply rising portion of the stress-strain curve. The shape factor of the test piece is very important, and only the test results of the test piece with the same shape factor can be compared. Note: For ease of comparison, this method can be used for materials with a density of 150 kg/m3 and above.
