- This part of GB/T 18992 stipulates the definition, symbols and abbreviations, materials and product classification of cross-linked polyethylene pipes (hereinafter referred to as pipes) extruded from cross-linked polyethylene (PE-X) pipe materials , technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, packaging, transportation and storage. This section, together with other sections, applies to cold and hot water piping systems in buildings, including industrial and civil hot and cold water, drinking water and heating systems, etc. GB/T 18992 is not applicable to fire extinguishing systems and fluid delivery systems for non-aqueous media.
