- This standard specifies the type and size, material and mechanical properties, technical requirements, marks and signs of fasteners used for pipe flange connections. This standard applies to fasteners used for pipe flange connections of different materials such as steel flanges, cast iron flanges, copper alloys and composite flanges. Fasteners specified in this standard include hex head bolts, equal length studs, fully threaded studs, and hex nuts.
