Scope

This part of GB/T 17645 provides a general EXPRESS resource structure, which supports different types of information descriptions in supplier libraries. For exchange, it also includes a collection of integrated EXPRESS information models expressing provider libraries. These integrated information models integrate EXPRESS resource structures from different parts of GB/T 17645 and GB/T 16656 into a single model. Supplier libraries can consist of definitions or representations of part families. Supplier libraries can also define new representation classes. Provider libraries can consist of dictionary elements only, or they can also include allowed instance specifications. When used with a view exchange protocol, these integrated information models also allow the exchange of one or more representation classes for parts defined in parts libraries. The scope of this standard is as follows: - Generic resource constructs for the expression hierarchy of part families. Parts in this family can be components or assemblies, abstract parts or physical parts. - Generic resource construct that implicitly expresses the definition of different parts belonging to a part family. - Generic resource constructs for expressing different kinds of rational representations of different parts belonging to a part family. - together with the definition and possible representation of the material family, express the general resource construction of the material family. - An information model for library integration, which aggregates common resource constructs from the different parts of ISO 13584 and ISO 10303 into a single schema, for exchange, and for expressing vendor libraries. This supplier library consists either of definitions of part families, of representations of part families, or of definitions of new classes of representations, which can be provided for any part family. The following are outside the scope of this standard: - description of assembly parts, which allow an unlimited number of components to be formed. - the specification of a software system capable of handling the expressed vendor library according to the information model defined in this standard. - Supplier libraries can contain descriptions of different expression classes
